Glendale Suspect in Hit-and-Run Crash Arrested

In Glendale, California, a suspect has been arrested for the hit-and-run collision, killing 72-year-old Novar Ismailyan.

Last month on Friday, December 28th, 61-year-old Mira Gjura was taken into custody for suspicion of vehicular manslaughter and felony hit-and-run. She was booked and released on $50,000 bail.

There is new video surveillance showing the scene moments before the crash. The footage shows Ismaliyan leaving a store just before she was hit by a car near Glenoaks Boulevard and Linden Avenue. The vehicle sped away from the fatal accident scene.

The motor vehicle involved in the crash has been recovered and is being examined by forensic specialists.
