2015 Top 100 SuperLawyer (Ninth Consecutive Year as SuperLawyer)
Mr. Corwin has been named a Southern California Top 100 SuperLawyer for 2015 by Los Angeles Magazine. Mr. Corwin has been previously recognized as a SuperLawyer with this honor from 2007 to 2014, consecutively. Only 5% of attorneys are selected for this honor. SuperLawyers are selected for attaining a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement in their field of expertise. SuperLawyers are nominated through a survey of Southern California lawyers and then final selections are made by a blue ribbon review panel of leading attorneys. This is the ninth year in a row that Mr. Corwin has been selected as a SuperLawyer.
2014 National Litigator Award Winner - Top 1% of Lawyers in America
Scott J. Corwin was awarded the prestigious 2014 Litigator Award for Catastrophic Injury and Motorcycle Accident Litigation. This award is given for extraordinary achievement within these fields. Justly standing as the nation's most coveted symbol of "Litigation Achievement", this unrivaled annual honor recognizes trial lawyers who have attained extraordinary litigation achievement. The Litigator Awards are perhaps the most rigorous and openly judged trial law rating. Of the nearly 1.1 Million lawyers considered, only a select few in each state receive this award. This places Mr. Corwin in the Top 1% of all lawyers nationwide.
2015 Member Board of Governors for CAOC and CAALA
Mr. Corwin was reelected to the Consumer Attorneys of California (CAOC) Board of Governors for his ninth consecutive term. He was also reelected to the Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles (CAALA) Board of Governors for his eleventh consecutive term. As a result of his ten years of service, Mr. Corwin has now earned the designation of board member emeritus for CAALA. He also serves as the organization's 2015 membership committee co-chair; he previously served as co-chair in 2014. CAOC and CAALA are the statewide and southern California organizations of attorneys, with a combined membership of over 5,000 who represent injured consumers who are victims of negligence and intentional conduct by corporate and individual wrongdoers.
2015 Member NTLA Top 100 Trial Lawyers in California (Sixth Consecutive Year)
Mr. Corwin was again selected, for the year 2015, as a member of the prestigious national organization, The National Trial Lawyers Association (NTLA). The NTLA is composed of the top 100 trial lawyers from each state. Membership is obtained through special invitation and is extended only to those attorneys who exemplify superior qualifications of leadership, reputation, influence, stature and profile as civil plaintiff or criminal defense trial lawyers. It is the mission of The NTLA to promote excellence in the legal profession through practical educational programs, networking opportunities and legal publications that deal with current issues facing the American trial lawyer. It is a significant honor to be selected for inclusion. Mr. Corwin has been previously honored for the years 2010-2014.
2015 LATLC Presidential Award (Three Time Recipient)
Mr. Corwin was honored at the May 2, 2015 Los Angeles Trial Lawyers' Charities (LATLC) 2nd Annual Casino Night and Texas Hold 'em Tournament, where he was presented with the LATLC Presidential Award for 2015 by LATLC President, Aimee Kirby. This is an unprecedented third time Mr. Corwin has been recognized by LATLC for his outstanding dedication and service to the organization, having been awarded the LATLC Presidential Award twice in 2014.
2015 CAALA Seminar, Webinar & Convention Featured Speaker
Mr. Corwin serves as a frequent speaker for the Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles (CAALA), at its annual Convention as well as at Seminars, Webinars and Round Table Discussions throughout the year. Most recently Mr. Corwin was the program moderator at the CAALA Membership Practice Series Round Table Discussion on "Banking, Budgeting & Financing for the Solo Firm in October 2015. Previously he has served as a speaker or program moderator for more than a dozen speaking engagements. He has also served as a panel speaker at the 2012 Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles (CAALA) 30th annual Las Vegas Convention at the Venetian Hotel September 6, 2012. The CAALA Convention has been attended by more attorneys than the two most recent national and state attorney conventions combined; nearly 2,000 attorneys attend the CAALA Convention. The Convention is the signature event for CAALA each year. Mr. Corwin served as a panelist on the "Pre-Litigation Panel" on the topic of "First Steps in the Pre-Litigation Phase: Initial Client Interview to Filing" as it pertains to motor vehicle accidents. Mr. Corwin is a respected and recognized expert in this area of the law. Mr. Corwin has also served as a speaker at several previous CAALA Conventions.
2014 CAOC Presidential Award
Mr. Corwin was honored at the November 13, 2014 Consumer Attorneys of California (CAOC) 53rd Annual Convention, where he was presented with the CAOC Presidential Award for 2014 by outgoing CAOC President, Jonathan Feder. Mr. Corwin was recognized by CAOC for his outstanding achievements and service to the organization.
2013 CAALA Presidential Award (Five Time Recipient)
Mr. Corwin was honored at the January 19, 2013 Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles (CAALA) 64th Annual Installation & Awards Dinner, where he was presented with the CAALA Presidential Award for 2012 by outgoing CAALA President, Michael Alder. This is an unprecedented fifth time Mr. Corwin has been recognized by CAALA for his outstanding achievements and service to the organization, having been the recipient of the CAALA Presidential Award in 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2010.

As a tireless consumer advocate, Mr. Corwin has worked continuously to protect the civil justice system, consumer rights and victims of corporate malfeasance, by helping to elect members to the California State Legislature, the United States Senate and the United States House of Representatives who seek to preserve our system of civil justice. To this end, Mr. Corwin has raised over $2 million for candidates for local, state and federal offices since 2004.
